Trivia
- In MAD, he is usually voiced by Kevin Shinick instead of his voice actor in the actual show, Tom Kenny. This is possibly because Nickelodeon owns the rights to SpongeBob's voice, so Kenny can't use it outside of Paramount Global shows (although he reprised SpongeBob for The X-Presidents.).
- When he is animated by Bunko Studios in MAD, he has no shoes, and has bare socks (regular, unlike the actual SpongeBob's tube socks).
- Celebrity Birthdays is the only sketch where SpongeBob SquarePants' design is not altered and look very close to his appearance in the actual show.
