A Screwtop Lift, also named Screwtop Platform, is a type of lift which first appears in New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Description
A Screwtop Lift has a screw on it that needs to be spun to activate it so that it moves. A Screwtop Lift moves in a set direction when spun on, and the direction that it spins is represented by a track symbolizing its movement path. If a character is no longer on a Screwtop Lift, it slowly spins back to its original position.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Screwtop Lifts only appear in World 8- 
, although they appear throughout the level.
New Super Mario Bros. U / New Super Luigi U / New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
Screwtop Lifts appear in all three games, retaining their functionality from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. In New Super Mario Bros. U, they appear in Screwtop Tower, and are used in the challenge Screwtop It Up, taking place in the same level. In New Super Luigi U, Screwtop Lifts appear in Sumo Bro's Spinning Tower.
