Winged Strollin' Stus are a variant of Strollin' Stu and an enemy which appears in Super Mario Sunshine.

Profile

Physical description

A Winged Strollin' Stu resembles a Strollin' Stu, except it has peach-colored skin, a blue bottom, a pair of wings that rapidly flutter, and no feet.

Behavior

At first, a Winged Strollin' Stu hovers idly, but whenever Mario comes near a Winged Strollin' Stu, it begins to fly towards him. When a Winged Strollin' Stu is above Mario, it swoops down to try an attack him. If hit, Mario loses one segment of his Power Meter. In secret courses, a Winged Strollin' Stu flies back and forth along a fixed trajectory.

Winged Strollin' Stu have a larger green variant named Swipin' Stu, which is capable of stealing Mario's Cap.

In Super Mario Sunshine

Winged Strollin' Stus are found only on Pinna Park beach during the episode Red Coins of the Pirate Ships, in Hotel Delfino's secret course, and on the Delfino Airstrip after the flood. Like other Strollin' Stus, a Winged Strollin' Stu can be defeated from either being squirted by FLUDD or stomped on.
