Synopsis for "Hunted"
The Black Cat learned that her ex-partner Hammerhead is looking for her, so she bursts into his hiding place and savagely beats his subordinates, helping her release the tension. In fact, since Spider-Man revealed his identity again and cancelled the effects of the spells making her forget, Felicia has had continued flashbacks of her relationship with Peter, infuriating her with returned memories of intimacy without his mask on. Hammerhead tells her that after she stopped being a crime boss, he partnered with the Owl, but that Taskmaster and Black Ant kidnapped him and that he needs his contacts for expansion.
The criminal asks Felicia to track down the Owl by offering that she can plunder Owl's art collection at will, and Felicia accepts hesitantly. After a short while, Felicia locates the ex-S.H.I.E.L.D. agents on a ship, and finds Billy Connors. The cat reassures the frightened boy with a little lie, then moves to free the Owl before she will warn Spider-Man and other superheroes. But when she finds out that the two mercenaries have decided to take the boy away, she goes back to free him, only to be attacked by Taskmaster and Black Ant.
The cat ended up in a trap that Hammerhead setup, as he joined to take revenge on her after she ditched him when she went back to her vigilante ways. As she struggles, Felicia flashes back to a memory when she believed that Peter was going to propose, but instead of asking to marry him, he instead just wanted to give her a modified Spider-Tracer to locate him so that the cat could contact him. With that memory, Felicia manages to distance the two enemies as long as necessary to use the Spider-Tracer to send a distress call to Spider-Man.
