Andrea Roarke (Earth-616)

History

Stockpile

Andrea Roarke, alias Sunstreak was a fire wielding criminal who once battled Iron Man as part of the Stockpile team.[3]

Initiative

After the Civil War, she was given the choice of going to prison or joining the 50-State Initiative to be trained at Camp Hammond.[4]

Secret Invasion

Sunstreak along with the Initiative recruits and the Young Avengers went to New York City to fight the Skrulls and were quickly overwhelmed.[5][6]

Sunstreak was put onto a team led by Tigra to catch Stegron, who was attacking S.H.I.E.L.D. bases all over the United States. After their first attempt to catch Stegron in South Dakota failed. They later caught him in Wyoming.[7]

Sunstreak was later disgusted when opening her graduation papers and learning she was to remain for further training, alongside Prodigy.[8]

Dark Reign

She later joined back with Force of Nature, who was made as part of the Initiative as the Oregon team,[9] and was made leader of the team.[2]

She participated to the sanction-offensive of the Initiative against the seceding Heavy Hitters[2] and later to the H.A.M.M.E.R. assault on Asgard.[10]

Her status after Osborn's dismissal is unrevealed,[11] but Steve Rogers thought of using Butterball's connection with Sunstreak, and thought about integrating her into the team in order to reform her.[12]

    • Flight: In her powered form she can fly.[11]
    • Pyrokinesis: and project a 'solar lance' from her hands, which she claimed to be "hotter than the heart of a volcano".[13] Her lance can reach a temperature of 2200 degrees Fahrenheit (1200 Celsius) and while 'powered up', her head was covered by flames.[11]

Weaknesses

According to Sunstreak, she can never permanently lower her body temperature to normal. As a result, she would inadvertently smolder playing cards if she held them too long, and had difficulty maintaining intimate contact with another person.[4]
