History

Marvel Zombies Return Vol 1 4Spider-Man

After devouring most of humanity and other fellow heroes, the Avengers fell into the New Avengers' trap, the New Avengers luring them to the Savage Land using James Rhodes' severed finger. While fighting the Avengers, the New Avengers unleashed a zombie-killing swarm of micorobots, killing the remaining zombies (and the remaining Avengers) except for the Sentry.

• This incarnation of the Avengers is a reference to the Justice League's classic roster: Sentry (Superman), Moon Knight (Batman), Thundra (Wonder Woman), Quicksilver (Flash), Quasar (Green Lantern), Namor (Aquaman) and Super-Skrull (Martian Manhunter).
