Shortly after his resurrection,[3] Thunderbird travelled to Camp Gozhoo to visit his paternal grandmother. After arriving, Thunderbird was told that local police officers had detained anyone with mutant genes as part of a scheme from the Heritage Initiative. Thunderbird was able to free his people and reunite with his grandmother.[1]
Following the attack at the Hellfire Gala, Thunderbird and Warpath began bringing mutants to Camp Gozhoo for protection from Orchis.[2] Unfortunately, Camp Gozhoo was _targeted by both Orchis and the Externals. While the Proudstar brothers defended the camp from Crule, Burke abducted Cerebra, Somnus, and several unidentified mutant children.[4]Points of Interest
