History
Damask, together with her beloved Zaffer, were the only two surviving passengers of an alien spaceship that had crashed on a desolate planet, therefore called Wasteland. On this planet lived the last form of life similar to plants called Rose of Purity which brought joy and love to the two aliens who, thanks to their well-being, transformed the wasteland into a paradise. Millennia later the Defenders arrived in the Wasteland in search of the Rose of Purity on the orders of the Enchantress who was holding the Valkyrie's body hostage which she threatened to destroy if she didn't have the Rose. Zaffer and Damask joyfully welcomed the Defenders, but when they revealed their reason for being there, Zaffer's former warrior spirit was awakened and he fought against the Defenders. While the fight between Zaffer and Hulk, Namor, and Hellstrom was going on, Hellcat was about to sever the Rose despite Damask begging her not to. When Hellcat came to his senses and stopped from severing the Rose, she stopped the fight between the Defenders and Zaffer. Stranded in the Wasteland, Zaffer and Damask offered the Defenders to stay with them, but soon after, Dr. Strange appeared and brought his comrades back to Earth.[2]
