History
A symbiote landed in Wakanda on the vibranium meteorite. The Wakandans called it "Companion" but found that it would not bond to their warriors. La'Dana stepped forward to offer it partnership instead of subjugation, becoming the first Queen of Wakanda. Other women would follow her path, the most worthy of them chosen by the symbiote to become the next Queen when the time was right. Okoye is the latest in the long line to bear that mantle.[1]
