Synopsis for "Eve of Destruction – Part Two: A Call to Arms"
X-Men (Vol. 2) #112
Polaris dismisses these concerns and the three resolve to find Magneto after escorting the refugees through the sewers to the coast, where Wakanda has agreed to open its borders to humans who have not yet escaped. Polaris decides to remain with the sick and dying until Wolverine and Cyclops give the word after clearing the sewers to the coast.
Later in the sewers, Wolverine detects the Blob and Random around a corner; Cyclops uses the ricochet of his blast to knock them unconscious. Wolverine is further concerned by Cyclops “showing off” and asks Cyclops about these changes and his condition after his brush with Apocalypse. Cyclops shrugs this off just before reaching the rendezvous point, where a unit of the Homo Sapiens Liberation Army are lying in wait.
They claim that while they appreciate the effort Cyclops and Logan are making for the other humans, they run too much risk of being captured for the benefit of the injured and dying. Cyclops fires several warning shots, breaking many of the team's weapons in the process, at which point they surrender. Meanwhile, Jean Grey and the six new X-Men she has gathered to fly the Blackbird to Genosha take off; Northstar expresses his severe doubts as to their capabilities.Appearing in "Eve of Destruction – Conclusion!"

X-Men (Vol. 2) #113
As Cyclops and Wolverine break into the palace, killing two guards on the way, Wolverine wonders whether Cyclops' experience with Apocalypse changed him, given his failure to berate Wolverine for the deaths. Meanwhile, Magneto constrains Frenzy with shards of metal, correctly guessing that she is under Jean Grey's psychic control. When Leyu attempts to attack him, Magneto pulls together pieces of iron to encase himself and diffuse the heat, before encasing her in metal filings.
He then grabs Hector who, for the first time, demonstrates another side to his mutation beyond his appearance: he transfers this appearance to Magneto, who is disoriented to be delayed long enough for Cyclops to enter and knock him off his feet. He continues trying to hit Magneto with optic blasts, who deflects them until he is able to hit Cyclops with a piece of his now broken helmet. Upon trying to tear the adamantium from Wolverine's bones once more, Magneto finds he cannot, as he has been under the control of Xavier for some time.
During Dazzler's seemingly fatal light-show, Amelia was able to free Xavier and Dazzler projected the image of herself being killed while assuming Xavier's position on the cross to which he was chained and projecting his image around herself. After he was free and cogent again, Xavier could control Magneto to prevent his killing Wolverine. Magneto is not dispirited by his defeat, as he knows Charles could never kill him. Wolverine, however, dispatches him instantly by stabbing him through the chest, much to the distress of Xavier and Jean Grey. In the epilogue, all the recent additions to the team (except an already absent Frenzy) set off for various reasons, leaving Professor X, Cyclops, Wolverine and Jean Grey at the mansion.Appearing in "Eve of Destruction – Part Three: Like Lambs to the Slaughter!"

Uncanny X-Men #393
Magneto accuses the incapacitated Xavier of being complicit in the crimes perpetrated against mutants and chastises him for not using his telepathy to form the army that he himself has, following Piotr's sacrifice. He leaves as Amelia looks on and wonders if she can avert the coming destruction.
Aboard the Blackbird, Northstar asks Frenzy why she has suddenly changed her allegiance, given that two days previously, she was an ambassador for Genosha espousing Magneto's rule. It becomes clear to him that she is under Jean Grey's control. Jean Grey is teaching the new, untrained mutants how to use their powers telepathically. She asks Dazzler to form a telepathic Danger Room in her mind, so the seven of them may train together.
Allison's mind, however, is a wasteland Mojoverse, where they are attacked by X-Babies versions of Apocalypse, Dark Beast, Holocaust and Sugar Man, which apparently originated from a Mojo production of the Age of Apocalypse; this destruction is the reason Alison first approached the X-Men. Once the team is of the vision, Magneto tears the Blackbird apart before landing the X-Men in Magda Square, where he then alights himself.
Elsewhere, Cyclops and Wolverine hear the crowd around the square roaring as they escort human refugees to Wakanda; Cyclops intuitively feels it is Jean Grey with some others to assist them. He and Logan run for Magda Square, while Polaris remains behind to help the refugees. Magneto shows the newly formed X-Men Professor X's body, provoking Dazzler into using the crowd's roar in an attack against Magneto. His electromagnetic powers rebound the photons of this attack at her, seemingly reducing her to ashes.
