Synopsis for "Thief of Time"
Gambit fought Julien over a vial of the Elixir before learning that its effects had deformed him and made him dependent on more to live. Later, Gambit ran away from the Tithe Collector, who was attempting to kill him and had also assembled the Thieves and Assassins against him. Bella Donna was convulsing in bed after Rogue had absorbed her memories and after Gambit reached the house, the Tithe Collector was prepared to kill both of his loves. Gambit grabbed onto the Tithe Collector's coat, charged it, and kicked him out of a window before it exploded.
Then, Gambit attempted to use the Elixir on Bella Donna, although Julien broke the vial while attacking him with a sword. Gambit subsequently attempted to kill Julien before deciding that killing him wouldn't help anything and to let his own dark ways consume him, although Marius killed him with several shots from a crossbow. Next, Gambit accepted a death sentence in exchange for restoring the pact between Candra and the Assassins Guild, although Marius refused to continue allowing her to play both guilds. Candra left and Remy's father told him to do the same in order to preserve the fragile peace between the Thieves and Assassins. Gambit revived Bella Donna using the drops of the Elixir that were spilled onto her blanket, although she couldn't remember anything afterwards. He told Rogue that part of him would always love Bella Donna and as he was about to share a kiss with Rogue, she rushed away, then he looked at a picture of his and Bella Donna's wedding before charging it and throwing out of a window.
