Hussar is a member of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard.

History

Hussar was one of the eight Guards chosen to battle the X-Men for the fate of the Phoenix - which had adopted the shape of Human Jean Grey at that time.

Hussar later was part of a conspiracy to overthrow Shi'ar Empire Princess-Majestrix Lilandra Neramani, working alongside Lord Samédàr, Deathbird, and the Brood. She continued to work with the Guard after Lilandra regained power, however; she protected her Majestrix from a Kree Starforce assassination attempt during the Kree-Shi'ar Operation Galactic Storm conflict, and after a Shi'ar victory helped fend off a further attempt on her life by Ronan the Accuser's Inhuman assassins.

However, Hussar was later punished for past crimes, and was banished to Earth during Maximum Security. She was eventually reinstated in the Guard.
