Synopsis
Spider-Man stops the Absorbing Man from robbing a store, but the criminal gets away when Screwball, a "hero" with a series of online prank videos, gets between them. Hammerhead gets furious at his henchman when he returns without a flash drive that he was really there to steal. After her video goes viral, Liz Allan (Screwball's secret identity) becomes obsessed with getting Spider-Man in another video. She gets her chance when Spider-Man stops a construction drone after it goes haywire at Robbie Robertson's press event to commemorate breaking ground on his new media building. Hammerhead notices a Midtown High sticker on Screwball's skateboard in her video, and sends Absorbing Man to attack the school to lure out Spider-Man and the flash drive. Screwball uploads a video online pleading for Spider-Man to hurry to Midtown before attempting to take on Absorbing Man by herself. Peter sees the video after Gwen decrypts the flash drive and uncovers its files on Hammerhead. He arrives in time to save Screwball, but Absorbing Man takes her and Randy Robertson hostage and tells Spider-Man to bring him the flash drive in an hour. Spider-Man fights Hammerhead and Absorbing Man after they threaten Screwball and Randy even after he hands over the flash drive. He defeats Absorbing Man by tricking him into absorbing an element that reacts violently with water. Screwball frees herself and Randy, and stops Hammerhead. Liz, realizing how reckless she's been as a hero, decides to give up on the Screwball identity, and later uploads her final video explaining her decision to her fans.
