Vulture and Howard the Duck held the Marvel writers hostage to gain more comic coverage, Spider-Man and Mr Fantastic arrived to deal with the situation. Working their way through the Marvel security system, the heroes confronted the duo. Howard put himself out of the equation almost immediately, knocking himself back with his rocket launcher and leaving him out of the rest of the fight, while Vulture proved more of a challenge. The two ultimately took out Vulture through a combination of traps, exploiting his bird-like instincts and placing several decoys of Avengers members, saving the Marvel writers in the process.[1]
