Synopsis for "Strange Alliances!"
Titania is out committing crimes, but Creel is trying to keep a low profile. He gets ahold of Thor II and convinces him to help. He wants to put a scare into her, so he plans to steal the Golden Bull from the Guggenheim, and have Thor II scare them off. Unfortunately, Spider-Man seems them together outside and assumes Thor to be one of the thieves.

Synopsis for "If This Be War!"
In Asgard, Uroc and two Rime Giants attack and defeat an Asgardian party that includes Hogun and Volstagg. Standing over the bodies of their defeated foes, they speak of their plans to conquer the Nine Worlds and the universe beyond, and consider whether they should imprison their foes or simply kill them. Meanwhile, in the Palace Royal, Heimdall has sensed the coming darkness and proposes an alliance with Karnilla.
Elsewhere, using the Norn Stones has transported Balder and Sif to the third destination in their search for Thor. However, they barely have time to notice that they are in a room surrounded by great throbbing machines before they are attacked by the three New Immortals who demand to know what the intruders have done with the High Evolutionary.
Notes
- The fact that Balder and Sif have been transported unto a starship in deep space and that its name is the Destiny Hunt will not be revealed until next issue.
- The flashback in Mighty Thor #473 that features the High Evolutionary, Count Tagar and the New Immortals aboard New Wundagore takes place after their appearance in Mighty Thor #450.
