History
Like every creature found on the Beyonder's Battleworld following the events of the first Secret Wars, the Silbens were the product of the subconscious mind of the Fantastic Four's Thing, [1] the Thing had decided to remain on Battleworld [2] after discovering he could change back and forth between human and Thing forms. [3] Each of these creations were based off some aspect of Ben's memories or personality, with entirely fabricated backgrounds and origins. [1]
It has been claimed that for centuries they battled with the Turek in high tech air craft, although the reason for their conflict is lost to antiquity. When the Turek's somehow forgot how to fly, they fashioned a village on the ground out of their aircraft and were subject to attacks from the Silben. Even though they had also forgot how to fight back, the Turek somehow endured while the Silben continued their bi-monthly attacks. When the Thing and his companion Tarianna stumbled upon the Turek, he helped them repair their ships and led them on a counter attack on the Silben. Although the thing did most of the work, he inspired the Turek to defend themselves in the future. [4]
Presumably the Silbens vanished from existence when the Thing later left Battleworld, resulting in the planets self destruction. [1]
