History
Szik was born a mutant in Latveria, a quarter century ago, his mutant power manifested and at some point he committed a crime, causing him to be imprisoned in a prisoner camp. He was nicknamed "Slag" due to his rock-like appearance, later, he was approached personally by Doctor Doom, who offered him to join a group of Latverian mutants, Slag at first refused, but then accepted when Doom offered to let him meet the Latverian mutants. Dubbing his new group the Seven Daggers of Latveria, Doom trained Slag and the others for a year, and soon after, he told them that the nation of Krakoa would eventually fall and when that would happen, the X-Men would attempt to kidnap them, which was the very reason he trained them.[1]

Geo-Thermokinesis: Slag's body is composed partly of rock and magma through which he can generate heat at will.
- Rock Skin: Slag's skin is made of rock, which Doom refers to as "Latverian rock".
- Magma Blood: Slag's blood has the properties of magma.
- Rock-hard Brain: Slag's brain is said to be the hardest part of his body. Whether this affects his decision-making is unknown.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Slag has a healing factor, which allows him faster than normal humans.
