Steve Rogers took Super Soldier Serum, allowing him super strength to become Captain America. He eventually joined a superhero team known as the Avengers, which assembled just in time for Loki to send mercenaries to attack the United Nations. Iron Man, who was fighting them off, called Rogers asking for backup. Rogers surveyed the Helicarrier and decided best course of action was to send Thor and Black Widow to help Stark while he and Hulk stayed on the Helicarrier. Eventually, Rogers was overtaken by a force.[2]
