Details
A sanctuary that ancient human beings hid within to avoid the world wars caused by the discovery of magla that destroyed civilization, which resulted in its inhabitants receiving no physical mutations. Those survivors would go on and call themselves the "elda," as the term "human" is now used to refer to those who have evolved into rampaging monsters through exposure to excessive doses of melancholia. The prince and Louis were born here. The protagonist supposedly also lived here after his home village was burned down in a pogrom, having been taken to the sanctum by the prince as a child, although he actually never stepped foot there and its residents do not recognize him.
Some time ago, King Hytlodaeus V visited the place and had a relationship with its leader, known as the eldan queen, who gave birth to a child known as the prince. Later on, to slake his hatred against the elda and despising the possibility of an eldan king ruling over Euchronia, Sanctifex Forden ordered a pogrom that destroyed most of the village, killing half of the population including the eldan queen and the Charadrius family of medics. The prince, Louis and several other eldans survived the incident and were forced to hide in the ruins behind the village. The king visited the place again after the pogrom, saving the prince and bringing him into the royal capital. Louis saw his sympathy towards the eldan's plight and was filled with optimism, and joined him as well. When the prince was cursed in an assassination conspiracy orchestrated by Forden, his body was brought here for safekeeping.
After the party wins against Louis in the final duel of the Tournament for the Throne, they were driven out of Grand Trad when he roused a mob by using his spell to turn the protagonist into a human and told them a half-truth to increase their fears and anger to murderous levels. They landed here to meet the prince, only for them to arrive a bit too late as he was slain off-screen by Zorba in a duel under Louis' orders. Russell, the prince's mentor, then took the body back to the prayer chamber for safekeeping, where it was examined by Gruidae and mourned by the party. The protagonist will then hear the eldan queen's voice again, who retraces his journey and asks him a couple of questions that are important to the progress of the game, revealing to him that he is nothing short of a thoughtform created by the dying wishes of the prince when he was assassinated in the Sanctist conspiracy, and his entire background story and mission were false memories created to give him a purpose. She then finally encourages him to fuse with the prince's body. If the protagonist agrees with her to fuse with the prince, he will become the incarnation of the prince himself, gaining white hair and a skin complexion to match the prince's. Responding to these questions with pessimism or refusing to fuse with the prince's body will result in a bad ending where the protagonist gives up in his journey.
Before departing to leave the journey to the newly reincarnated prince, the queen also spoke to Gallica, telling her that her memories are also tampered with. The party was then taken to a tour by Gruidae, who explains the history of the world and Louis' origins to them.
During the end of Gruidae's tour, Russell spotted Zorba nearby, alerting the party of his existence. They give hot pursuit and catch up to him, only for him to resurrect Homo Gorleo to buy time and escape. The protagonist awakens to his new archetype, the Prince, and defeats the human. Gruidae and Russell then bid the party farewell before they return to Grand Trad to prepare to stop Louis' insane plan to turn all of humanity into humans.

Trivia
- The Euchronian royal flower can be seen growing around the entrance to the sanctum. This type of flower used to grow around the place that would later become Tradia Desert, although melancholization wiped it out from there, making the sanctum one of the few remaining known areas where it can still be seen.
- King Hythlodaeus V distributed at least two Fantasy Novels inside the Sanctum. Those novels would later be owned by the prince (his was later transferred to the protagonist) and Louis.
