Laevateinn (レーヴァテイン, Rēvatein)? is a damage-dealing skill. It is a Fire combo skill in Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner 2. In Persona 5, it is a Physical skill exclusive to Goro Akechi, who initially uses it when he is fought against as a boss, and again when he returns as an ally in Persona 5 Royal.
Effect
Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner 2
Laevateinn is a duo combo that requires one with Agidyne and another with any single-_target Physical skill. It deals mega fire damage on one single enemy and reduces the _target's defense by one level (effectively a Rakunda).
Persona 5 / Royal
When used by the party, Laevateinn deals colossal physical damage to 1 _target. It has a 0% Critical rate.
When used in Akechi's boss encounter, Laevateinn deals heavy Almighty damage to 1 _target, and Akechi is programmed to always _target the protagonist using it. It occurs after being telegraphed by Akechi staring at him in the previous turn.
Despite it otherwise being guaranteed to _target the protagonist, it is possible to manipulate Akechi into _targeting someone else with Laevateinn by using either Taunting Aura, the Spotlight or Limelight tools, which boost the chances of having the ally it is used on to be _targeted by attacks. However, it is recommended to have the protagonist guard instead.

Trivia
- Laevateinn, along with Sumire's Brave Step, and Kanji's Dizzy Boost, are the only party member-exclusive skills in the Persona series that do not come from a Persona awakening such as the third awakenings in Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal. If non-Persona skills are included, then Aigis and Metis' Orgia Mode tactics would precede this.
