Rage (激怒, Gekido)? is an ailment in the series.

Effect
In Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, Rage vastly increases the attack power of anyone affected with it, but they will attack anyone other than themselves. It can only be inflicted by Asura Roga and Zero Morality, the latter of which is only used by Nebiros when fought in the Empyrean Ascent.
In the Persona series, combatants inflicted with Rage will ignore commands, and will always perform basic melee attacks. Their attack power is doubled, but their defense, evasion and accuracy are all halved. While enraged, enemy Shadows ignore effects that alter their chance of _targeting a party member, like Concealment or Spotlight.
In Persona 5, Rage has an expiration timer of 1 and thus will expire at the start of the combatant's second turn. There is also a weaker variant of the status condition known as "Wrath," which is only inflicted by Yaldabaoth and allows full control of the _target unlike the usual Rage condition.
Combatants inflicted with Rage are vulnerable to Technical damage from Psychic skills. In Persona 5 Royal, if Knowing the Heart has been read, Rage is also vulnerable to Technical damage from Fire skills.
In Persona 5 Royal, if a combatant simultaneously Downs an enemy and gets Enraged (e.g. from a reflected Oni-Kagura), they will still get a One More but Rage forces the combatant to melee attack with it. However, due to a glitch, if this attack happens after a Baton Pass, the combatant will be able to act freely during the One More even while being Enraged. In either case, an irregular Hold Up will be initiated if all enemies are Downed after this.
Shadows under Rage will automatically be cured if negotiated with.
In combat, the Anger Bandana (P5) and the Raging Wristband (P5R) can be equipped to increase the combatant's power output when afflicted with Rage.
