In 2259, the location of this nebula was labeled on stellar cartography charts that were seen on the USS Enterprise's viewscreens. This nebula's symbol was a red Klingon Empire logo, indicating its affiliation with the empire. (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds)
In 2367, on stardate 44322.82, Captain Rudolph Ransom shadowed a Klingon Bird-of-Prey near the planet Epsilon IV, in the Epsilon Hydrae system. After discovery, Ransom managed to elude the Klingons in the nebula for three days until stardate 44325.18 when they gave up the chase and he disengaged. (VOY: "Equinox, Part II")
In 2399, the location of the 'etnap Nebula was labeled on a Federation star chart in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters. The nebula was in or near to Klingon space. (PIC: "Maps and Legends")
