In geometry, a geometric shape, form, or pattern is any identifiable shape that could be defined as either two-dimensional or three-dimensional forms.
As the construction of the terraforming station on Velara III proceeded, the apparent random patterns that had appeared in the underlying sand ceased being random and became very specific, that is, geometric shapes began appearing, disappearing, changing location, changing size. (TNG: "Home Soil")
The topological anomaly devised by Data and Geordi La Forge in 2368 was designed to be introduced to Hugh as a means to disable the Borg Collective. This was to be accomplished by using a geometric form whose shape is a paradox as "It cannot exist in real space or time." Total systems failure would eventually occur aft the shape goes through several hundred computational cycles. (TNG: "I Borg")
Seven of Nine's assignment for the ex-Borg children aboard USS Voyager was to create a geometric shape. Mezoti, rather, created an abstract piece of art intended to be of Seven herself. Although it wasn't her assigned instruction, she thought that her idea was more fun. (VOY: "Ashes to Ashes")
