Hank Edds, S.M.A. is a makeup artist who worked on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. During his time on Star Trek, he received the following three Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Achievement in Makeup for a Series:
- 1990 for the episode "Allegiance", shared with Michael Westmore, Gerald Quist, June Westmore, Doug Drexler, John Caglione, Jr., and Ron Walters
- 1994 for the episode "Genesis", shared with Michael Westmore, June Westmore, Gilbert A. Mosko, Debbie Zoller, Tina Hoffman, David Quashnick, Mike Smithson, Kevin Haney, and Michael Key
- 1994 for the episode "Rules of Acquisition", shared with Michael Westmore, Camille Calvet, Karen Westerfield, Dean Gates, Dean Jones, Tina Hoffman, David Quashnick, Mike Smithson, Michael Key, and Gilbert A. Mosko
Edds previously received Emmy Award nominations in 1978 for Outstanding Achievement in Makeup for the television drama The Amazing Howard Hughes, shared with Michael Westmore, and for the Little House on the Prairie episode "The Fighter", and in 1988 for the Highway to Heaven episode "I Was a Middle-Aged Werewolf", shared with Michael Westmore and Gerald Quist. In 1991 he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Makeup for a Miniseries or a Special for Son of the Morning Star.
Beside his work on Little House on the Prairie (1981-1984) and Highway to Heaven (1984-1989) he also worked on How to Save a Marriage and Ruin Your Life (1968), The Wrecking Crew (1969), The Love Machine (1971), Something Big (1971), Bad Company (1972), Sugar Hill (1974), Chinatown (1974), Alex & the Gypsy (1976, with Dione Taylor), With This Ring (1978), Sam's Son (1984), Where Pigeons Go to Die (1990), Us (1991, with Patricia Miller), and Bonanza: The Return (1993).
