Intramolecular processor

An intramolecular processor was an integral component of Borg nanoprobes.

In 2153, upon becoming infected with nanoprobes, Doctor Phlox of Enterprise NX-01 discovered that the nanoprobes' intramolecular processors were especially vulnerable to omicron particles. In an attempt to eliminate the infection, Phlox exposed himself to an excessive dosage of the radiation, a process which, while successful, proved extremely uncomfortable for Phlox.
