Marvin J. Chomsky (23 May 1929 – 28 March 2022; age 92) was a four-time Emmy-winning director and producer of film and television. Chomsky directed the Star Trek: The Original Series third season episodes "And the Children Shall Lead", "Day of the Dove", and "All Our Yesterdays".
He was a cousin of famous academic Noam Chomsky. Among Chomsky's more celebrated productions are the 1977 miniseries Roots (starring LeVar Burton, Madge Sinclair, Ben Vereen and Thalmus Rasulala) and the 1980 miniseries Holocaust (starring David Warner and Fritz Weaver).
Chomsky died in his sleep on 28 March 2022 at the age of 92. [1]
