Meat was the prepared flesh of an animal that was consumed as food. It was frequently enjoyed with potatoes. (TNG: "Up The Long Ladder"; VOY: "Investigations")

Back when whaling was still common on Earth, some Humans harvested the meat of whales. In 1986, James T. Kirk, Spock, and several other tourists watched a video showing this process at the Cetacean Institute. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

(DS9: "Homefront", "Paradise Lost") Even William T. Riker ate pipius claw, gagh, and heart of targ. (TNG: "A Matter Of Honor") He also used bunnicorn meat to make bunnicorn sausage for his pizza.
