Ronnie Rowe Jr.

Ronnie Rowe Jr. (born 16 December 1980; age 43) is an actor who played communications officer Ronald A. Bryce in Star Trek: Discovery.

Born in Toronto, Canada, Rowe trained acting under David Dunbar, David Smuckler, Debrah Joy, Tom Todoroff, and Bernadette Jones and at the Armstrong Acting Studios and the Odyssey Studios in Toronto.

Rowe appeared in the short and independent projects Erasermen (2012), The Assistant (2012), Bike Cop: Begins (2013), Mars Is Laughing at Us (2014), Looks Just Like the Sun (2015), Wagon (2015), and Section 7 (2016). He had recurring roles in Teenagers (2014, executive produced by TJ Scott) and Riftworld Chronicles (2015).

In addition, Rowe was featured in episodes of Dual Suspects (2011), The Firm (2012, with John MacDonald, directed by David Straiton, and with supervising producer Thom J. Pretak), Warehouse 13 (2013, with Saul Rubinek), Murdoch Mysteries (2014), Saving Hope (2014), Republic of Doyle (2014, with Scott Grimes), Rogue (2015, with Brian Markinson and Thamela Mpumlwana), The Expanse (2015, with Shohreh Aghdashloo, Brian George, Jonathan Banks, and Sara Mitich, and executive produced by Naren Shankar), and Dark Matter (2016, with Roger Cross).

Rowe later appeared in an episode of The Strain (2016, with Doug Jones and executive produced by Bradley Thompson and David Weddle), Black Cop (2017), the short drama Emmy (2017), and the thriller Recall (2017).

In 2022, he starred in the CBC series The Porter alongside Alfre Woodard, which greatly reduced his presence on season four of Discovery.
