The SS Robert Fox (NFT-1327) was a Whorfin-class transport, under El-Aurian registry, that operated during the late 23rd century. This vessel had a crew of seventeen.
In 2293, the Robert Fox, along with the transport ship SS Lakul, ferried 265 El-Aurian refugees to Earth. Both ships became caught in the energy distortions of what was later determined to be the Nexus energy ribbon, located three light years from Earth. The ships were able to get out a distress call; however, the responding ship, the USS Enterprise-B, was unable to save the passengers aboard the Robert Fox before the ship was destroyed by hull stresses from the Nexus. Personnel
The Robert Fox was not mentioned in dialogue, but appeared on the computer readout screen on the science officer's console aboard the Enterprise-B. The name was a homage by Generations co-writer Ronald D. Moore to Federation Ambassador Robert Fox from the Star Trek: The Original Series episode "A Taste of Armageddon".
