Tom Jackson (born 27 October 1948; age 76) is the Canadian actor and singer who appeared as Lakanta in the Star Trek: The Next Generation seventh season episode "Journey's End".
He has recorded over thirteen albums and produces an annual Christmas charity event, the "Huron Carole" which has aired on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) regularly. His many television appearances include Shining Time Station on the Public Broadcasting Service, Sesame Street, and he is best known in Canada for his regular role in the drama series North of 60 in the 1990s, which was ongoing at the time of his TNG appearance.
Among his more recent credits is the 2005 film Mee-Shee: the Water Giant with fellow Canadian, Bruce Greenwood.
