Willard Sage (13 August 1922 – 17 March 1974; age 51) was a Canadian actor who played Thann in the Star Trek: The Original Series third season episode "The Empath".
Starting in 1951, Sage earned almost a hundred acting credits, most of them on television. He can be seen in episodes of series such as Dragnet (with William Boyett), Have Gun – Will Travel, Perry Mason, Arrest and Trial (starring Roger Perry, with Kathryn Hays, Ken Lynch, and Bill Quinn), The Outer Limits ("Nightmare", with David Frankham, Whit Bissell, John Anderson, and Paul Stader, directed by John Erman, "Tourist Attraction", with Noél De Souza, Henry Darrow, and Paul Stader, and "Production and Decay of Strange Particles", with Rudy Solari, Joseph Ruskin, Leonard Nimoy, Barry Russo, and Robert Fortier), The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (with Noél De Souza), 12 O'Clock High (starring Frank Overton), Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Ben Casey (with Harry Landers and Jon Lormer, directed by John Meredyth Lucas), The Invaders (starring Roy Thinnes, with Lawrence Montaigne, Roy Sickner, Max Kleven, and Jason Wingreen, directed by Joseph Sargent), Hogan's Heroes (with Kenneth Washington, James B. Sikking, and John Crawford), Land of the Giants (starring Don Marshall, with Madlyn Rhue), and The Virginian.
He also appeared in a number of films, including Niagara (1953), Timbuktu (1958, with Leonard Mudie), The Great Impostor (1960, with Frank Gorshin, Robert Herron, Shep Houghton, Ted Knight, Paul Sorensen, and Harry Townes), That Touch of Mink (1962, starring Cary Grant, with John Fiedler, Clegg Hoyt, William Meader, and Kai J. Wong), For Love or Money (1963, with Julie Newmar, Leslie Parrish, William Windom, Theo Marcuse, John Harmon, and Noble Chissell), and Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970, with William Schallert and Byron Morrow, directed by Joseph Sargent).
His final acting role was on Banacek (1974, with Gene Dynarski, Byron Morrow, and George Murdock).
