References and notes
- ST reference: Spaceflight Chronology identified the date of a first manned mission to Saturn reporting evidence of alien visitation, having a profound effect on man's perspective of himself in the universe. In other ways, the Spaceflight Chronology timeline has since become discontinuitous with the primary universe timeline of Star Trek. For the purposes of this wiki, FASA RPG and Spaceflight Chronology dates are represented as reference stardates and this mission is listed at reference stardate 0/20. Although other in-timeline sources do place Colonel Christopher's Saturn mission in 2020, the actual discovery of alien life has been mentioned in canon as being Renee Picard's Europa mission in 2024 (in Star Trek: Picard season 2). These might be considered the same series of probes in order to rationalize the two events being conflated in this way.
