Events
- A mining convoy from the Onias Sector escorted by the Columbia NX-02 is attacked by a group of Romulan vessels who use their telecapture system to take control of the Columbia and use her to destroy the convoy. The crew of the Columbia then faked a self destruct by detonating a photonic torpedo simultaneously with a brief warp jump, allowing the vessel to escape destruction itself. The Columbia was severally damaged in the attack, losing her warp drive and long range communications. Captain Erika Hernandez opted to use a time dilation effect at high impulse to get to the nearest planet that scans indicated might be able to offer repairs, Erigol. The journey took sixty-three days on-ship, but twelve years passed for the rest of the galaxy and the Columbia was considered lost.[1]
- After two-years of tense engagements, the Earth-Romulan War breaks out between United Earth and the Romulan Star Empire.[2]
