"Captive Pursuit" is an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, first aired in 1993 as part of the first season of the series.
A hunted alien from the galaxy's Gamma Quadrant seeks refuge on Deep Space 9.
Summary
A small ship arrives from the galaxy's Gamma Quadrant, the first from the quadrant to do so. It has been damaged, and Commander Sisko and Chief O'Brien convince the sole occupant, Tosk, to allow them to bring his ship in for repairs. Tosk is keen to move on as quickly as possible, but declines to say why. O'Brien quickly befriends Tosk while repairing his ship.
Tosk attempts to steal weapons from the space station weapons locker and is detained by Odo. Another ship arrives from the Gamma Quadrant and the aliens transport to the Promenade. Sisko and Major Kira attempt to stop them, but the aliens technology is too advanced. The alien hunters call off their attack when they find that Tosk is in a security cell.
Sisko is bound by the Prime Directive to not interfere and decides to turn Tosk over to the hunters. O’Brien decides to act on his own and knocks out the Hunter taking Tosk to their ship, allowing Tosk to escape to his own. O’Brien realises that Sisko helped too.
