The third season of Deep Space Nine was produced and aired in 1994 and 1995.
History
With Star Trek: The Next Generation over, Ronald D. Moore and Rene Echevarria joined the writing staff. The season premiere introduced the USS Defiant in a story that followed up the season two finale "The Jem'Hadar". At the end of the season, Sisko is promoted to captain.
Characters introduced in the third season include the Female Changeling, Kasidy Yates, Leeta, Michael Eddington, Ishka, Shakaar, Legate Ghemor, Iliana Ghemor, Joran Dax and Grilka.
