Giant Killer was a 23rd century Kzinti warship in service to the Kzinti Patriarchy.
History and specifics
Maintained by the Kzinti ground base on Mimit, Giant Killer was launched in the 2270s with a gravity-disrupting Hamstringer weapon. Her Kzinti crew expected to earn names and land for their service. Giant Killer was the prototype for a fleet of warships.
In 2274, the vessel was spotted by the Federation starship USS Enterprise two days away from Mimit. The Kzin Patriarch officially denied the existence of Giant Killer, as the Treaty of Sirius forbade Kzinti from having warships, and declared any such vessels to be pirates.
Though Giant Killer disabled the Enterprise's artificial gravity generators, the starship was able to escape at warp speed. Giant Killer pursued and re-engaged the Enterprise in orbit of Mimit, aiding a squadron of Kzinti fighters in battle, but the warship was crippled after a band of ferocious Ravagers were beamed aboard from the surface. Defeated, losing power and drifting into deep space, surviving crew abandoned ship and transferred to the fighter
