Jibetian

The Jibetians are a humanoid race from the planet Jibet who control a large space territory known as the Jibetian Confederacy.

Biology

Jibetians were a race of humanoids that were mostly long and lean with pronounced ridged cheeks. (TNG - Double Helix novel: Vectors)

Though members of the royal family had anatomy that normal Jibetians lacked, such as redundant internal organs which scholars claimed were responsible for the family's longevity.

History

During Earth's 16th century, a revolution began against the Jibetian leader, Supreme Ruler Jibim Kiba Siber. Convinced to flee Jibet by his aide Bikon, the Supreme Ruler left Jibet aboard the Nibix, on which he and his followers were placed in cold sleep while the Nibix travelled to their new home, New Jibet. In reality, Bikon was the leader of the revolution and, with the Supreme Ruler gone, became the new Jibetian leader. (DS9 novel: The Long Night)

Some time prior to 2366, Quark dealt with illegal Jibetian goods on Terok Nor. Though he was accidentally implicated by Rom getting him fined by Odo. (ST - Terok Nor novel: Dawn of the Eagles)

Several Jibetians were members of the Mist. (DS9 - The Captain's Table novel: The Mist)
