Since Kerax had become expatriated from the Klingon Empire, and taken refuge in the Federation as a member of Starfleet, it is possible that the Jomrak line bore some dishonor, and possibly renounced his title as a vestai. However, with Kerax being a member of Starfleet Intelligence, it is also possible that his line might have been kept unaware of this.
