Kehvan Zydhek was a male Balduk who served as a Federation Starfleet officer in the 24th century.
Biography
Kehvan and his brother, Waltere, joined Starfleet Academy as soon as they finished their training as warriors on their homeworld.
Some time after earning their commissions, they were posted to the USS Enterprise-E as engineers under Chief engineer Geordi La Forge and Kehvan was promoted to the rank of lieutenant junior grade.
During the Enterprise' mission to Chiaros IV covert Section 31 operative Ambassador Aubin Tabor wished to recruit an agent on the Federation's flagship, and Kehvan was one of three candidates on his list. Tabor found him to be a brilliant technician and disciplinary incidents in his past suggested to him that he would be a better agent than his brother. However, ultimately decided that the close family bound with his brother made him fear that he would share his covert work with him, so Tabor chose to approach Lieutenant Sean Hawk instead.
In the course of the Chiaros mission Kehvan and his brother assisted Lieutenant commander Data in deciphering the data contained within the computer core of a captured Romulan scout ship. (TNG - Section 31 novel: Rogue)
