Kenner

Real-world Kenner a.k.a. Kenner Products (1946-2000) was a 20th century American toy company. Kenner released the Star Trek Kenner Comic Strips series in 1974.

Background

One of Kenner's toys was the Give-A-Show Projector, which used a flashlight to project strips of color slides onto a wall. It was sold along with a variety of comic strip stories featuring licensed characters. In 1974, two of its projector toys included Star Trek: The Original Series stories.

The British version of the toy had strips for Doctor Who and Planet of the Apes, the latter featuring Mark Lenard's character General Urko.
