Mendon

Mendon was a Federation citizen, a Benzite man who served in Starfleet from the 2360s decade. (TNG episode: "A Matter of Honor", PRM novel: Fire with Fire)

Biography

Mendon was from the same geostructure as Mordock, the first Benzite to enter Starfleet Academy. (TNG episodes: "Coming of Age", "A Matter of Honor")

In 2365, Mendon served as science officer on the bridge of the USS Enterprise-D, flagship of Federation Starfleet. He was part of the Officer Exchange Program and was borrowed from the government of Benzar. Ensign Mendon was instrumental in saving both the Enterprise and the IKS Pagh from a microbial plague. By 2385, Lieutenant Commander Mendon was chief science officer of the USS Prometheus, under the command of Captain Richard Adams. Unfortunately, Mendon was part of a small minority of Benzites who could not undergo genetic engineering without risk to their health, and required to wear a respiration device in standard oxygen/nitrogen atmospheres.
