Miraskin was a 23rd century Human woman. She served in Starfleet in the communications division aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2260s under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.
Biography
In 2268, dairk-haired Miraskin was inexperienced and quite young, with a lantern jaw and strong cheekbones. She manned the communications station on the bridge while the Enterprise was moored at Starbase 23. Kirk recognized her voice over the intercom when she relayed an emergency message to him from Starfleet, but couldn't read it to him, as it was coded "eyes only". Later, when she answered his call to the bridge from his quarters, he thought Nyota Uhura must be giving the off-shift officer some bridge duty as a favor. He then asked her to recall all ship's personnel for immediate departure from the starbase. (TOS novel: The Starship Trap)
