The Monk was a 24th century Federation shuttlecraft, a Type 9A cargo shuttle in Starfleet service in the 2380s decade. The Monk was assigned to the Luna-class starship USS Titan.
Service history
In the mid-2380s, the Monk was the largest shuttlecraft aboard the Titan.
Early in the year 2386, the Monk's interior was stripped out to enable it to rescue nearly 40 of Titan's crew who had been abducted by the Solanae to their asteroid base in their subspace realm. Lieutenant Commanders Ranul Keru and Melora Pazlar piloted the shuttle from Titan to the base but upon discovering over one hundred additional abductees from the USS Whitetree and the Dinac Expeditionary Initiative pinnace, the Monk was returned to Titan by autopilot and the starship flew in and to complete the rescue.
