Pakistan

Pakistan was a nation-state in Asia on Earth created with the British withdrawal from the Indian subcontinent in 1947. Pakistan and India became traditional rivals, and went to war several times over the disputed province of Kashmir throughout the 20th century.

History

In 1988, Pakistan's military leader, General Zia ul-Haq, was killed in a plane crash which Gary Seven and Roberta Lincoln believed Khan Noonien Singh was involved in. The General's death did lead to the return of democracy in Pakistan. (TOS - The Eugenics Wars novel: The Rise and Fall of Khan Noonien Singh, Volume 1)

On 10 July 1992 at his palace citadel in Chandigarh, India, Khan announced his annexation of Pakistan into the Great Khanate, along with Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. (TOS - The Eugenics Wars novel: The Rise and Fall of Khan Noonien Singh, Volume 2)

By the mid-21st century, Pakistan was a member of the Eastern Coalition, along with its old rival. The Pakistani city of Karachi was among the cities ruined by the outbreak of World War III in 2053. (TLE novel: The Sundered)

Kelvin timeline

According to Khan Noonien Singh, Augments absorbed Pakistan into the Central Asian Union in September 1992. By 1996, Pakistan was part of the Khanate before the Augment dictatorships were overthrown. (TOS - Khan comics: "Issue 2", "Issue 3")
