The Point Bonita Lighthouse was a structure on the planet Earth's North American continent that, by the late 23rd century, had stood in Point Bonita, San Francisco since the 19th century.
History and specifics
In the 22nd century, an early Starfleet admiral was inspired by the color of the shimmering water by the lighthouse's 1877 location along San Francisco Bay, and designated that color for Starfleet Academy cadet uniforms. (TOS - Starfleet Academy novel: Cadet Kirk)
In the 23rd century it could still be seen from the Starfleet Academy auditorium. (TOS novel: Starfleet Academy)
