Since Almur had become expatriated from the Klingon Empire, and taken refuge in the Federation as a member of Starfleet, it is possible that the Sahran line bore some dishonor, and possibly renounced her title as a tai. However, with Almur being a member of Starfleet Intelligence, it is also possible that her line might have been kept unaware of this.
