T'Rama

T'Rama was a Vulcan female who lived in the 22nd and 23rd centuries, born in 2110. She was the daughter of Supek. T'Rama and her husband, Skon, had two sons, Sarek and Silek. She was the paternal grandmother of Spock and Sybok.

As a child, T'Rama visited the Sol Museum of Aeronautical Science with her family. While touring the museum, T'Rama became lost; while waiting for assistance, she met 11-year-old Jonathan Archer, who quickly became very fond of her. After it became clear that Jonathan had a crush on T'Rama, she and her mother returned to Vulcan; the Vulcans did not blame Jonathan for what happened but were concerned that T'Rama might develop emotional habits from being too close to humans. Jonathan was very upset at T'Rama's departure. (ENT short story: "A Girl for Every Star")

Years later, T'Rama was a security officer who served as T'Pau's bodyguard. In 2156, T'Rama remained on duty guarding T'Pau after Surak's katra was destroyed. T'Pau had to order T'Rama to go home. (ENT novel: To Brave the Storm)

By 2164 T'Rama was pregnant. Early in the pregnancy she accompanied her father in law Solkar to Babel as his aide for the talks between the United Rigel Colonies and the United Federation of Planets on the subject of admission.

When Planetarist movement candidate for Federation President Anlenthoris ch'Vhendreni was the victim of a staged assassination attempt T'Rama decided to investigate further when it appeared that Admiral Jonathan Archer was the shooter. She quickly determined that Archer was being framed, and that the Zankor Syndicate was behind the attempt - having infiltrated ch'Vhendreni's campaign team. Learning of this ch'Vhendreni performed his own investigations and found just how compromised the Planetarists had been by criminal elements. ch'Vhendreni subsequently withdrew from the race. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Tower of Babel)

On the Earth date June 18, 2165 in the city of ShiKahr T'Rama gave birth to a son, whom she and Skon named Sarek. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Uncertain Logic)

Who's Who in Star Trek, Issue 2 identifies Solkar as Sarek's mother. Most other sources interpret the "child of Skon, child of Solkar" line to mean that Solkar is Sarek's grandfather.
