Verity class

The Verity-class was a 25th century Federation starship class, a legendary command dreadnought cruiser and variant subclass of the 24th century Odyssey-class star cruiser, in Starfleet service from the 2410s decade. The class became reality with the refit of the Odyssey-class USS Verity in the year 2411. Service history and specifications

The Odyssey-class Verity was Vice Admiral Jean-Luc Picard's flagship during the mission to relocate endangered Romulan populations before the Hobus supernova. Picard's mission lasted from 2380 to 2385, and the Verity traversed the Romulan Neutral Zone to visit several planets within the Romulan Star Empire. The Odyssey class underwent refits in 2409 and 2410, following the Second Battle of Earth in the Iconian War. (STO - The Iconian War mission: "Midnight")

Following the Battle of Excalbia on stardate 84999.22^[1] in early 2411, which saw the prominent involvement of hero ships from the Federation's past and present, the Verity was among the command dreadnought cruisers that received a refit to legendary starship qualifications. The Verity class incorporated the systems and equipment developed for the 2410 Endeavour-, Sojourner- and Yorktown-class star cruisers. This included the installation of an advanced quantum slipstream drive, chevron separation, adaptive emergency systems, and a dampening wave emitter that could aim a violent dampening wave at opposing ships. Besides the standard complement of Type-8 shuttlecraft, the Verity could deploy work bees during hostilities for ad-hoc repairs, and an Aquarius-class light escort to join combat. Like the Sojourner class, the Verity was also fitted with a round saucer section. All Odyssey-based star cruiser subclasses were modular and their components interchangeable between them, including the Verity class.

In Starfleet Shipyards Operations shipyard interfaces, the rebuilt USS Verity visually represented its class from the year 2411 onward. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Livery

In the 25th century, the design of the Verity-class legendary command dreadnought cruiser allowed its commanding officer to choose from different designs of hull materials, which could be modified further at shipyards. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Furthermore, the installation of deflector shields from specific factions modified the hull appearance, including shields from the Reman Resistance, the Breen Confederacy and the Dominion. (STO missions: "Coliseum", "Cold Storage", "Boldly They Rode")
