Minecraft Live 2021は、2021年10月17日午前1時(日本時間)から開催されたライブイベントである。このイベントでは、Caves & Cliffs: Part IIの次のアップデートとして、The Wild Updateが発表された。[1]また、Mob投票でAllayが選ばれた。[2]

このイベントは、Mojangが公開した「Caves＆Cliffs Special：LookingForward」という動画で言及された。Agnes Larssonは、次のメジャーアップデートがMinecraft Live 2021で発表されると述べた。
このイベントは後に、2021年9月2日にリリースされたMojangによる動画で正式に発表された。
イベント
Mob投票
MINECON Earth 2017、Minecraft Live 2020と同様に、将来のアップデートでゲームに追加される新しいMobに投票することができた。また、それぞれのMobに対して、紹介動画が用意されている。 投票されるMobは、Glare, Allay, Copper Golemである。
- Allay[5][6]は、小さな妖精のようなMobであり、与えられたアイテムを多く拾い集めることが出来る。読み込まれたチャンク内で、ドロップされているアイテムを拾い上げ、一度に1スタック分運ぶことが出来る。しかし、アイテムの複製[7]や、チェストからアイテムを取り出すことは出来ない[8]。 また、音符ブロックの範囲内で、持っているアイテムはドロップする。[5]
- Copper Golem[9]は、銅で作られた小さなロボットのようなMobであり、銅のボタンをランダムに操作する。このMobが選ばれていた場合、銅のボタンも同時に実装されていた。[9]Ulraf氏のTwitterによると、Copper Golem は、落雷や斧で酸化の除去ができる。[10][11]また、完全に酸化した場合、彫像の状態となる。[12]
落選したMobがゲームに実装される可能性は低いが、今後実装される可能性はある。[13]
結果
投票は二回行われ、最初に落選したMobのGlareは、二回目の投票候補から外された。最終的にはAllayが投票で選ばれた。

Minecraft Live: Vote for the Next New Mob!
告知
Minecraft Live 2021では、Deep Dark(1.18から1.19へ延期された)、Mob投票で選ばれたAllay、MINECON Live 2019で約束されていた湿地帯の要素をThe Wild Updateとして、Minecraftに実装されることが発表された。 また、Minecraft Dungeonsでの季節限定トライアルも発表された。2021年11月2日、Minecraft：Java EditionとMinecraft：Bedrock Editionが、MinecraftPCバンドルとして XboxGame Pass for PCに登場する。 どちらのエディションもMinecraftLauncherからプレイできる。
