Taxonomy

  • Order: Sharp Claw
  • Suborder: Hard Teeth
  • Superfamily: Unknown
  • Family : Rajang

Furious Rajang is a rare special Rajang individual that is constantly enraged for unknown reasons. Its theorized by the Guild that the Furious Rajang's power is unstable due to the loss of its tail and that its power potentially comes from its heart along with its nerves. Like Rajang, Furious Rajang is a Fanged Beast.

Habitat Range

Furious Rajang have only been spotted in areas such as the Old Volcano, Volcano, Ancestral Steppe, Primal Forest, Sanctuary, Ingle Isle, JungleSacred Pinnacle and Everwood.

Ecological Niche

In almost any habitat that the Rajang happens to be passing through, it enforces itself as the apex predator of the surrounding area. Its nature and adaptations allow it to hunt and prey on virtually anything smaller than itself. A Rajang's particular favorite prey is believed to be the elusive Kirin. In their chosen habitats Rajang are forced to compete with equally fearsome predators such as Tigrex, Lolo Gougarf/Ray Gougarf, Doragyurosu, Khezu, Blangonga, Rathalos, Lavasioth, Yian Garuga, Espinas Subspecies, and some Elder Dragons. These predators are capable of seriously wounding Rajang due to its unarmored body. Unexpectedly golden fur from Rajangs have been found in the stomach of Pariapuria's, even though the Pariapuria's body is very weak to electricity. However, these predators are no pushovers and being in this furious state, more than capable of killing such opposition

In the New World, Furious Rajang are top predators that transcends the boundaries of a normal food chain. Their known diet is the horns of Kirin, which seem to be the source of their unmatched lightning powers. It is unknown if Furious Rajang actively prey on the entire Kirin, but it is at least suggested that they sit atop a higher position in the food chain than the Elder Dragon. Even most Apex predators would avoid an encounter with Furious Rajang, not risking the potential injuries or even death at the hands of the Fanged Beast. Like their normal counterparts, they are matched only by the more dangerous Elder Dragons and Invaders such as Savage Deviljho. The Seething Bazelgeuse can also match the Furious Ranjang in strength, with their Turf Wars usually ends in a stalemate, both taking equal damage.

Biological Adaptions

Furious Rajang has the same biological adaptions as a normal Rajang but with some minor differences. Unlike normal Rajang, their hair is usually golden in color, even when not enraged. When enraged, Furious Rajang are surrounded by an aura of golden lightning.

Behavior

Furious Rajang are ultra aggressive just like Rajang though are noticeably stronger, faster, and a lot more aggressive than Rajang. These monsters are rare and are sometimes considered to be a near myth though many hunters who hunt them never return.
